Behind these atrocities is the brilliant mind of Emperor Karrin VIII, the most devious ruler the world has ever seen. His soul is dedicated towards removing the impurities of a once perfect planet, only to replace them with creations of his own making. His true motives, however, are shrouded in mystery that even his own kin are not aware of.

    Nonetheless, the once great and prosperous nations of Haverith are now plagued with death and despair as the mighty Zhanthran pour out into the world, unleashing their might onto an undefended people. From the legendary Korthorian Empire to the graceful Athamarium Elves, none are sparred the wrath of the Conquest. The able bodied are enslaved and forced to build the new Zhanthran Empire, while the week and feeble are sent to the mines and fields to work until their lives are no longer desired. 

     The worst, however, is not found in the lumber yards of an enemy nation, but in the own homeland of Zhanthran itself. The common and poor, forced to live in the outskirts of the Imperium, have been refused their rights and forced to serve the every whim of the Emperor. Children are taken from their parents to forced into the Imperial Military, women are kidnapped and never seen again; men beaten to death for just asking as to the well being of their great homeland. To them, hope is but a fading memory told to children, a bedtime story to keep them from crying from the hunger that pierces their existence.

But hope is a hard thing to kill.

     In the ashes of a decaying faith has risen a new hope, a new cause to champion the oppressed. Known as STRUGGLE, they strike back at the injustices inflicted by Karrin, gaining the support of the people they mean to liberate. Each day the grow in numbers as they slowly make their way to the nerve of the Imperium, their terrorist methods hampering the growth of the new Zhanthran Empire. From sabotaging vessels to occasional raidings, their efforts are meant to force the Imperium to acknowledge the existence of those they fail to see, of those people they use to reach their goals and then discard as though they were articles of clothing.

     Unfortunately the cold hearted Emperor Karrin has given little attention to the rebel group STRUGGLE, seeing very little harm in a small group of rag tag farmers and ex-soldiers. He increases his efforts at crushing their spirits, and succeeds. With no reason to live, they slowly recede into nothingness.

     But in the middle of their defeat arrives the one destined to relieve them of their anguish, the only person capable of harnessing the awesome powers of the Ancients and releasing the immeasurable forces of the KnightFire.
